Alice DeVille trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and on the English National Opera Opera Works programme in London. She has performed widely across Europe, and at Glyndebourne, Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, St John’s, Smith Square and St. George’s, Bristol.
Roles include: Juno/Ino Semele, Handel; Maddalena, Rigoletto, Verdi; Maurya Riders to the Sea, Vaughan Williams; Carmen, Carmen, Bizet; Sorceress, Dido and Aeneas, Purcell.
With orchestra Alice has performed solos in: Bach St John Passion, Beethoven 9th Symphony, Duruflé Requiem, Handel Messiah, Handel Judas Maccabaeus, Mozart Requiem, Pergolesi Stabat Mater, Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle, Verdi Requiem.
Alice has sung repertoire as a recitalist spanning 400 years, from early Handel to new commissions. Forthcoming projects include the UK touring show: ‘Five Tales of Love and Madness’ a staged recital featuring some of Handel’s finest music.
